The terms that govern your Automated Knife Life subscription — including our cancellation policy, notice periods, and what happens to your data, domain, and phone number.
AKL Cancellation Policy
Effective for all Automated Knife Life (AKL) subscription plans
How to Cancel
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing using the AKL Cancellation Request Form (linked in your account dashboard and at the bottom of this page). Chat messages, text messages, and verbal requests do not constitute a cancellation. You will receive a written confirmation within 1 business day acknowledging your request and confirming your effective cancellation date.
Notice Period
A 30-day written notice is required for all plans. Your cancellation takes effect at the end of the 30-day notice period. You will retain full access to your account throughout that window.
Monthly Plans
No refunds are issued for the current billing period. Your subscription remains active and fully functional through the end of your 30-day notice period. No further charges are made after that date.
Annual Plans
Annual subscriptions are non-refundable. If you cancel an annual plan mid-term, your account remains active through the end of your 30-day notice period. No pro-rated refunds are issued for unused months.
Your Domain and Phone Number
These are yours — before, during, and after your subscription.
- •Your domain is registered in your name. It stays yours regardless of your AKL subscription status. If your domain is hosted through AKL, you will receive transfer instructions upon cancellation.
- •Your phone number can be ported to any carrier of your choice. We strongly recommend initiating your port-out request before your account closes. Numbers not ported prior to account closure may be released back to the carrier network and cannot be recovered.
- •Your Mailnox email account (if obtained through AKL) continues on its own annual renewal cycle independent of your AKL subscription.
Your Data
- •Your account remains fully accessible through the end of your notice period.
- •You have 30 days after your account closes to export your contacts, notes, and any data you want to keep.
- •After the 30-day export window, all account data — including contacts, workflows, automations, funnels, and conversation history — is permanently deleted.
- •Your A2P registration fee ($24) is a one-time carrier charge and is non-refundable under any circumstances.
Confirmation
Once your cancellation is processed, you will receive a confirmation email stating your request date and your effective cancellation date. Keep this email. It is your record.
